Laminar Flow is that when the velocity of flow v is lass than the critical velocity vc for a given liquid flowing through tube of given diameter, the motion is streamlined. In such a case we can imagine the entire thickness of the stream of the liquid made up of large number of plane layers (laminas) one sliding past the other i.e., one flowing over the flow.
