Quantisation of Charge – If a physical quantity can have only discrete values rather than all values, then the quantity is said to be quantised, charge is quantised as a free electron is not subdivisible.
So, Q = ±ne with n = 1, 2, 3…
and e = 1.6 × 10^-19 C
