Electric Potential due to a Dipole – The potential due to a dipole is the sum of potentials due to the negative and positive charges. For an arbitrary point, P near a dipole located at an angle θ as shown in figure alongside, potential due to dipole at p is given by
V = 1/4πε0×pcosθ/r2
