Question
What is Conclusions of Rutherford Experiment?
Answer
Conclusions of Rutherford Experiment - From the location and number of α-particles reaching the screen, Rutherford concluded the following: (i) Atom consists of a very small sized nucleus where the entire mass of atom resides. (ii) Very few particles were deflected from their path, indicating that the positive charge of the atom occupies very little space. (iii) the positive charges and mass of the gold atom were concentrated in a very small volume within the atom. (iv) Volume occupied by the nucleus is very less as compared to total volume of atom.Subscribe to our youtube channel!
