Heat Capacity and Molar Heat Capacity – Heat capacity is the amount of heat required to change the temperature of a given quantity. The heat capacity of 1 gram of a substance is called its specific heat capacity (or specific heat), while the heat capacity of 1 mole of a substance is called its molar heat capacity.
