The Uses of Nitrogen…
The Uses of Nitrogen –
(i) Nitrogen is used in the manufacture of HNO3. NH3 and other nitrogen compounds.
(ii) It is also used in preparing gas thermometers and for filling electric bulbs.
(iii) It is used to make fertilisers, nitric acid, nylon, dyes and explosives.
(iv) Nitrogen must first be reacted with hydrogen to produce ammonia. This is done by the Haber process.
