The Uses of Phosphorus Trichloride - (i) Phosphorus trichloride is also used directly as a reagent in organic synthesis. (ii) Alkyl alcohols are used as a chlorinating agent to convert alkyl chloride acids into organic acid chlorides and as a catalyst. (iii) It act as reducing agent.
