Properties of Potassium Dichromate…
General properties of potassium dichromate are as follows:
(i) It is orange-red prismatic solid which melts at 396°C.
(ii) Oxidising properties,
(iii) Reaction with hydrogen peroxide,
(iv) Chromyl chloride test,
(v) On heating it decomposes,
(vi) It is non-combustible and also its nature is highly corrosive.
(vii) Potassium Dichromate is odourless.
