Causes of Flagellated protozoans:
(i) The main members are Trypanosoma sp. African sleeping sickness is caused by the tsetse fly.
(ii) Leishmania sp. Kala-azar or Dum-dum fever is caused by sand fly.
(iii) Giardia sp. Giardiasis causes and Trichomonas vaginalis causes leucorrhoea.
