Characteristic of Gram positive bacteria…

Thickness of cell wall is 150-200Ǻ.
Cell wall is signal layered, smooth and in contact with the cell membrane with 2-4% lipid content and 70-95% murein.
Mesosome common, pill rarely present
Mostly coccus, non-capsulated, flagellation less common.
Teichoic acid present, more sensitive to antibiotics.
