Glass electrode is a thin walled glass bulb immersed in a solution containing H+ ions and plutonium wire dipping in a solution of an electrolyte which fills the bulb. The glass surface develops a potential with the solution (of H+ ions) and the tin glass serues as a suitable conductor between the outer and the inner walls of the bulb.
