Antibody These are substances produced by lymphocytes to check growth of antigens or neutralise their toxins by agglutination, lysis, etc. etc.
Antigen Anything alien to body in form of an organism or toxin that triggers the production of necessary antibodies.
Anorexia Inability to breathe or feeling of being fat hence quit eating.
Antidote A substance administered to a person to check the effect of poison.
Analgesic A substance that acts as a pain killer.
Anaemia A person with reduces body temperature or help to prevent fever.
Appetite A desire to eat being hungry.
Barbiturate A durg used to induce calmness and sleep.
Choking Difficulty in breathing because of blockage of throat.
Dozing Feeling sleepy or sleeping for short time during day.
Dementia Unability to think, remember or behave in normal way.
Dermatitis Roughening and reddening of skin becoming swollen and itchy.
Diarrhoea Elimination of waste from bowel in liquid form frequently.
Dysentery Severe diarrhoea with blood contamination.
Dystaxia Neural disorder in which a person fails to read and spell properly.
Dumb A person’s unability to speak words/sentence.
Deaf A person’s unability to hear sound.
Eczema A skin condition in which skin become sore and red.
Emphysema Smoker’s disease with difficulty in breathing because of blocking of alveoli in lungs with tar.
Hemodialysis An act of filtering blood in kidney machine to remove nitrogenous waste.
Hysteria A state of extreme excitement, fear or anger in which a person loses control of emotions to cry or laugh uncontrollably.
Hallucination To seem to see or hear something that doesn’t exist because of illness.
Hemorrhage Loss of blood inside body where it clots and appear as a red-dry dot/spot.
Insomnia State of sleeplessness due to illness/depression/excitement.
Immunisaton An act of boosting immunity with intake of antibiotics or vaccine.
Fatigue State of weariness from exertion or tiredness.
Flatulence Filling of bowel with air that is irritable unless it is expelled out.
Perspiration Sweat perfusly.
Psychedelic To see or face without any existence of anything under the effect of a drug.
Psychiatry Study and treatment of mental illness.
Strain Pulling of muscles at tendon because of overstretching.
Tetani Stiffness of muscles.
Sedative Drug that induces sleep.
Thrombus A small blood clot formed inside blood vessel
