Oxides and Oxoacids…
Oxides and Oxoacids are both types of chemical compounds that involve oxygen atoms bonded to other elements. Here’s a brief explanation of each:
Oxides: Oxides are compounds composed of oxygen and one or more other elements. They can be classified into two main categories: basic oxides and acidic oxides.
Example: P4O6
Oxoacids: Oxoacids are a type of acid that contains oxygen, phosphorus, and one or more other elements. The oxygen atoms are usually bonded to a central atom, and the acidic properties arise from the presence of phosphorus.
Example: P4O10
