संघ-निडेरिया (Phylum-Cnidaria) –
(1) ल्यूकार्ट (Leukart) ने 1847 में इसे सीलेण्ट्रेटा (Coelenterata) नाम दिया।
(2) निडोरियन्स के अध्ययन को नीडोलॉजी (Cnidology) कहते हैं।
(3) निडेरिया में कोशिका-ऊतकीय स्तर (cell-tissue grade) का शरीर संगठन होता है।
