A process is called Adiabatic, if the system does not exchange heat with the surroundings. An Adiabatic process may involve increase or decrease in Temperature of the System.

In Final State, the System attains equilibrium after interaction with the surroundings.

The Initial State of the System refers to the starting state of a System is equilibrium, prior to the on set of some kind of interaction with the surroundings.
