Tangent Law is:
When a freely suspended magnet is acted upon by two uniform magnetic fields of strengths F and H at right angles to each other, the magnet comes to rest in a certain position making an angle with H. In this position the moment of couple due to the field H is equal and opposite to the moment of couple due to field F.
F = H tan θ
