Types of Electromeric Effect…
These are of two types:
(i) If the electrons of the π-bond are transferred to that atom of the double bond to which the reagent gets finally attached, which is also referred to as the positive electromeric effect.
(ii) If the electrons of the double bond are transferred to that atom of the double bond other than the one to which the reagent gets finally attached, which is also referred to as the negative electromeric effect.
