Water Equivalent …

Water Equivalent of a body is defined as the mass of water, which absorbs or emits the same amount of heat as is done by the given body for the same rise or fall in temperature, i.e.,
W = mc
Where W = Water Equivalent of the body, m = mass of the body and c = specific heat of the body.
