What are Catalytic Dehydrogenation of Alcohols?

Answer

Catalytic dehydrogenation of alcohols is carried out by passing the vapours of alcohols over reduced copper at 573K. Primary alcohols produce aldehydes while secondary alcohols yield ketones.
