Question
What is Law of Floatation?
Answer
Law of Floatation - When a body of density ρs and volume V is immersed in a liquid of density ρl, (i) The body will float with fully immersed in the liquid, if the weight of the body is just balanced by upthrust. i.e. Vρsg < Viρlg (ii) The solid body floats with a part of it in the fluid, if weight of the body is less than the upthrust. i.e. Vρsg < Viρlg (iii) The body will sink, if weight of the body is greater than the upthrust. i.e. Vρsg > ViρlgSubscribe to our youtube channel!
